We are excited to announce that we have been selected to take part in the Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP)- 5G Technology in Japan. Sensor IT’s Director will be travelling to Tokyo in November, representing the UK in a trade mission that will be a watershed moment in our journey to become a technology company reference in the local and international IoT market.
The Global Business Innovation Programme – 5G is an initiative organised by Innovate UK as part of UKRI, and delivered by Innovate UK EDGE, to help innovative UK businesses explore global opportunities to grow and scale.
This particular initiative focuses on Japan’s game-changing cellular technology system. Japan is embracing 5G and is expected to become the dominant force in cellular technology by 2026. With the country leading the way in cellular technology, a multi-national company, SoftBank, aims to deploy over 50,000 5G base stations to target 90% of the population by March 2022.
